Do we really need such a absurd judgement of performance of players from the governing body of Cricket. The criteria of ranking is unknown.Mohd Yousuf, Shiv Chanderpaul, Matt Hayden appear to surpass Sachin on the list.Doesn't a Batsman with 156 Tests,12429 runs with an average of 54.27 and 41 Test Hundreds deserve to be in the top 20?. Looking at his record and phenomenal batting skills He should be in the Top 5 of Greatest Test Batsmen in the world. In 2002, Wisden ranked him the second greatest test batsman of all time next only to Sir Donald Bradman, and the second greatest one-day international (ODI) batsman of all time next only to Sir Vivian Richards. Even Wasim Akram,One of the Best Left arm Bowlers with more than 400 wickets is ranked 59. Even Greats like Sunil Gavaskar do not feature in the list. The Rankings are similar to Duckworth-Lewis,It is only what The ICC can Understand. The Greatness of Players have not been judged on their true Calibre and Potential. Clearly The ICC must come out with an Explanation
